Mindset Matters ✨

My message is the same to all athletes I work with on their mental mindset.

Mistakes are a Must!
We do not grow without making mistakes.
These mistakes do not define us. They help us improve in the game and are not tied to our self-worth.

Our Body Language tells everything.
Slumped shoulders, throwing our heads back, or slamming our stick on the ground tells our opponents they have already beat us.

Communication is key.
The more we communicate on the floor or field, the more confident we look.
The more we talk, the more our brain believes that we are in control.

Courage to try new things pushes us outside our comfort zone.
Leaving our comfort zone proves that we are capable of hard things.
Each time we try something new, we are creating stronger connections in our brain (rewiring it if you will).

Even if we are a highly skilled player, without emotional control and a strong mindset, we will struggle to perform.

Our mindset matters and we need to practice it just as much as our lacrosse skills.

Let’s Fly 🦅🥍

We call it putting tools in your tool box.

Let them be creative.

Let them try new things.

Encourage a repertoire of different skills.

This will intrinsically build confidence and give them the courage to continue to step outside their comfort zone.

That’s where the magic happens ✨
