Hi, I’m Jessie! I am the owner and founder of JD Performance Therapy. Here’s a few things I love to do and things I am passionate about in injury & pain recovery.

Things I love:
✨Travelling & exploring the world (bring me to an ancient world & tell me all the myths and tales)
✨Sunrises & sunsets (in awe of what mother nature can do)
✨Being by or on the water (ocean or river – even better if it’s river in the mountains)
✨Live music (Dermot Kennedy is top of my list)
✨See whales in the wild (especially Orca)

Things I am passionate about:
〰️Keeping you as active as possible through recovery
〰️Giving you the tools to succeed
〰️Helping you trust yourself & your body again
〰️Linking the body & nervous system in injury recovery and care
〰️Somatic and body awareness practices
〰️Meeting you where you’re at with no judgement

What are some of your favourite things? Let me know in the comments!

Exciting news!! 🗣️
It’s time for my next adventure - just in time for the start of the Year of the Fire Horse! 🔥

I am thrilled to announce that I have made a change to my practice! I have decided to break off on my own and officially run & open doors to JD Performance Therapy. Don’t worry – I’m still in Airdrie offering the same level of care, just in a different location.

Thank you to the Airdrie community that have supported & continue to support me through it all - I cannot begin to properly express my gratitude!

I am incredibly excited to announce that I am going to be practicing out of ! I have rented a room out of their facility that has a full wall of windows with access to the gym floor for rehab work! I can’t wait to collaborate and work hand in hand with the amazing team that already calls the space home.

Doors officially open Monday February 16th – I can’t wait to show you the space that is slowly (and yet quickly) coming together!

You can find the booking link in my bio. Comment or DM any questions!

Thinking outside the box doesn’t necessarily come easy to us practitioners, especially when it’s outside of the box we have been conditioned to function within.

Can we make up the most creative rehab protocol or pull on the most recent scientific data or talk your ear off about how your pinky finger can be linked to your baby toe? Yes, we totally can.

But ask us to think about where we can grow and expand on how we provide care and practice – we freeze. All we can think of is how to improve our metrics, our work set up, access to courses, our SEO, the latest strategy and data, the best course we have heard of or magically get our charting done for us etc etc etc.

What happens outside of all of that? What happens when we deepen into what we are actually offering people? Outside of the science and the research and the data… We get into unfamiliar terrain and probably territory that feels 😬

How often do we encounter the same problem – time and time again but the same strategy that the latest and greatest paper wrote about just does NOT work!? Racking our brains as to what could we be doing wrong!? How did we not get it right?! Then it becomes an us problem instead of an opportunity to dive into what we don’t think about. What isn’t presented in the literature or on that course… what do people need that we haven’t researched and created a protocol about…?

Does any of this feel familiar? Is it frustrating? Pleaseeee leave a comment or send me a DM if any of this resonated! I would love to discuss more.
