Join us on Saturday, May 23 at the Mann Art Gallery for a full-day workshop that blends traditional batik techniques with the fluid magic of watercolour painting with Caron Dubnick.

What You’ll Experience:

Discover how wax can be used as a resist to create stunning layered effects on paper—an adaptation of the traditional fabric-based batik process. Guided by experienced artist Caron Dubnick, you’ll explore this expressive technique step-by-step and leave with your own striking artwork.

What to Bring:

We’ve got all the materials covered! If you have extra newsprint, flyers, or newspapers, please bring them along (they’ll be used in the wax removal process). And don’t forget—wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy!

Hello Tri-Community!

The Mann Art Gallery 49th Winter Festival Art Show & Sale opened up on Friday, Feb 7th in Prince Albert, SK. There is some great La Ronge representation in the show this year! In an effort to encourage you fine folks to check out the works in person, and be slightly enigmatic…we are holding off on sharing photos of them (for now). ☺️

That being said, be sure to check out the artists individual socials (links below) as they may be sharing some snaps on their own channels. We have six local artists, and also spotted a few former residents work in the show as well.

The dedicated staff at The Mann deserve all the props for putting on such a great show, creating a welcoming and supportive opportunity for artists to both display and sell their works in a professional setting. Thank you so much for all you do. ♥️

The display is up from Feb 7th-Mar 22nd, 2025. Take a moment the next time south to slow down for a few and enjoy a variety of work from across Saskatchewan. While southbound to Prince Albert, just cross the bridge and hang a left at the first set of lights folks. It’s right there! ☺️
