What if you had one last chance to do something, and deep in your heart you knew it was the right thing to do, yet you chose not to do it? Then the moment passed, the time was gone, and no matter how badly you wanted it back, you could not buy it again.
This morning, my thoughts went to the reality that we are not promised tomorrow. Life is short, and James reminds us that it is like a v***r. It appears for a little while, and then it vanishes away. Yet so many people live as though they have all the time in the world, only to realize that the next moment was never guaranteed.
Today, let us not waste the time God has given us. If there is someone we need to forgive, forgive. If there is love we need to show, show it. If there is a right thing we need to do, do it while we still have the opportunity.
Life is too short to live with a careless heart. May we live today with purpose, humility, and readiness before God.

Who are you following?
Who do you believe?
Who is truly important to you?
And why does it matter?
These are questions worth asking, because the direction of our lives is often shaped by the voices we listen to, the people we trust, and the things we give our hearts to.
In a world filled with opinions, distractions, and many voices calling for our attention, we must be careful not to lose sight of Christ. Following the wrong voice can lead us away from truth, but following Jesus will always lead us closer to life, peace, and purpose.
What we believe matters. Who we follow matters. What we value matters. Our hearts cannot be led by everything and still remain faithful to God.
Today, let us examine our hearts honestly. May we follow Christ above all, believe His Word above every other voice, and make Him the most important part of our lives.

Today, I will be doing two days of leadership training, and as I was reading through my devotion this morning, this verse stood out to me in a powerful way.
As I prepare to present to leaders about the importance of leading with care and courage, I am reminded that what we teach should never be just information. It should be something that honors God, strengthens others, and points people toward truth.
My desire is not only to speak well, but to rightly divide the word of truth. I want what is shared to be useful, sincere, and approved unto God. Leadership is a responsibility, and when we teach, guide, and influence others, we must do it with humility, wisdom, and a heart that seeks God first.
May everything we do today be done with purpose, truth, and a spirit that pleases the Lord.
