The Association of Women Religious Botswana (AWRB) gathered in Mahalapye this past weekend for their Annual General Meeting(AGM) Under the Theme : REDISCOVERING OUR ROOTS TO SHAPE OUR FUTURE.
The Association was to look back and see what Impact are they bringing to the society looking at the contemporary issues such as Human Trafficking, refugees and Migrants. The sisters had an opportunity to discuss on how they could strengthen their stratergies on awareness of Human trafficking issues.

On the occasion of the International Day of Prayer and awareness against human trafficking, and the Feast day of St. Bakhita, our Youth Ambassadors from the Diocese of Francistown, visited Chiro Diocese of Francistown during their Leadership Workshop to give insight on human trafficking issues in Botswana ✨🇧🇼 and an overview of this year’s Giornata mondiale di preghiera contro la tratta theme of “Peace begins with Dignity”. As leaders, it’s absolutely important that we are aware of these issues, to better guide and advise our youth when they come to us for advice on opportunities that may be a gateway to trafficking in persons.

On the occasion of the International Day of Prayer and awareness against human trafficking, and the Feast day of St. Bakhita, our Youth Ambassadors visited the Parish of St Bernadette Catholic Church - Gaborone West to celebrate this special day with them, and deliver a presentation on human trafficking issues in Botswana, with a focus on this year’s theme of “Peace begins with Dignity: a Global call to end human trafficking “ ✊🏾🤍. *m
