WAVE RYDER HEADLINES INTO AFRICA PICNIC

Into Africa Picnic Festival is hosted twice a year in Thamaga. The first event of the year was held during Easter holidays and the last show of the year. The fourth Leteisi edition will be held at Adashe Gardens in Thamaga on the 26th December 2025.

This event brings music lovers, foodies, and the community together for unforgettable experience. The event attracts patrons from Thamaga and the neighbouring villages. This show gives youth and small businesses to make a living for their families. The hospitality, tourism and transportation always look forward to this unforgettable event. The SMMEs makes money through food and alcohol stalls.

Lesotho born sensation and award winning musician; Wave Rhyder will headline the festival alongside Msongi. The local acts include artists and performers such as Oratile from Khoisan, Spiza Valentino, Thato Tladi and the traditional musician Morwa Tsankana. More local artists will feature in this event.

“We’ve heard the parent’s concerns about the exclusion of kids and the good news is that this year’s event caters for children and we have kid’s ticket, as well as kids activities. Our main mission is to grow and improve every year. This year is not only about music but also African identity and culture, most importantly fashion. We urge our attendees to rock up on their leteisi in line with the festival’s theme.” Said the event organiser and founder Thuso Mohurutshe.

Into Africa strives to end the year on a good note by bringing together people of different villages, cultural beliefs and identity to celebrate as one.
