Food is one of the most important parts of our life, it involves our emotions, health, and politics. But did you know that food can also change our environment? Food Systems contribute to 30% of greenhouse gases largely due to deforestation, transportation of food and are responsible for 70% of the withdrawal of groundwater.

This year’s is centering around the theme 'Transforming the Food Systems: Youth Innovation for Human and Planetary Health'. On the eve of International Youth Day, BYEI is initiating a conversation with Dr. Mohammad Raknuzzaman, Professor of Department of Fisheries at University of Dhaka, Farida Akhter, Executive Director of UBINIG and Nurul Amin Rony, CEO of Dr. Recycle. The session will be moderated by Syed Muntasir Ridwan, Co-Founder of BYEI and CEO of Catalyzing Sustainable Transformation - CAST.
