Successfully Completed: Two-Day HVAC Design Training (Part 1-A)

Successfully completed the 2nd-Day session led by Moniruzzaman Sir on Introduction to Psychrometrics and Its Practical Applications in HVAC and the day concluded with a session by Emran Hossain Sir on Bangladesh National Building Code (BNBC) 2020, focusing on its application in the HVAC design process and associated best practices.

The two-day HVAC Design training organized by the ASHRAE RUET Student Branch, with the support of the Ashrae Bangladesh Chapter, has been successfully completed. The program provided practical exposure to HVAC fundamentals, cooling and heating load calculations, psychrometrics, and the complete HVAC design process.

We were honored by the presence of our Honorable Department Head Sir Professor Dr. Mohammad Shahed Hasan Khan Tushar and Respected Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Professor Dr. Md. Nurul Islam Sir and Special thanks to Md. Mahabur Rahaman Sir for his invaluable mentorship , whose encouragement and support greatly contributed to the success of the event.

📘 Workshop Update: HVAC Design (Day 1)

Day 1 of the 2-day Workshop on HVAC Design was successfully completed with two highly informative and engaging sessions, laying a strong foundation in HVAC design principles and practical applications.

🔹 Session 1: Fundamentals of HVAC Design

The first session was conducted by Muhammad Ershad Jaman Khan,
Honourable President-Elect, ASHRAE Bangladesh Chapter,
focusing on the Fundamentals of HVAC Design.
The session provided in-depth insights into ASHRAE standards, core HVAC concepts, and essential design considerations, helping participants build a clear understanding of industry best practices.

🔹 Session 2: Heating & Cooling Load Calculation
The second session was conducted by Md. Moniruzzaman Bapari,
who delivered an excellent lecture on Heating and Cooling Load Calculation. He affectionately and clearly guided participants through the cooling load calculation process, explaining each step with real-life practical examples, making complex concepts easy to understand and apply.

Both sessions were highly enriching and set a strong technical base for the upcoming advanced discussions.

The Ashrae RUET Student Branch’s Annual General Meeting was held yesterday at Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology (RUET)

It was an honor to host Engr. Md. Al-Emran Hossain, President of the ASHRAE Bangladesh Chapter, whose inspiring words and vision added immense value to the session and encouraged us to pursue excellence in skills and innovation. He shared valuable insights on ASHRAE’s mission to advance HVAC&R technologies and guided us on effectively operating a student branch, emphasizing networking, technical events, and professional development opportunities.

The AGM program was chaired by Prof. Dr. Md. Robiul Islam Sarkar, Director of Student Welfare at RUET and Chief Advisor of the Ashrae RUET Student Branch. His guidance inspired students to prioritize skill development alongside academics. We were also delighted to have Md. Mahabur Rahaman, Lecturer of the Mechanical Engineering Department, present at the event.

The AGM was a resounding success filled with engaging discussions, future planning, and memorable moments captured in photos. The leadership mantle was handed over from the former President of ASHRAE Ruet Chapter, Humayun Kabir Jim, to the newly elected committee.
