As a married student it is hard to stay without the spouse and kids if a student have them. For that particular reason the USA government decided to provide F2 Visa which will help the student have his or her spouse with them during the time they will spend in the USA for study purpose.

When a person should apply for F2 Visa?

• It is recommended to apply at the same time as the F1 applicant. So you can take the Visa interview together. But if in Case you want to apply separately you can.

Can I work on F2 Visa?

• You are not allowed to work with F2 Visa. You are allowed only to accompany your spouse during his/her study.
• F2 Visa holder can change their status to F1 Visa.
• F2 visa holder can apply for H1B visa or work visa.
• F2 visa holder can invest during their stay in the USA.

4. How long I can stay with F2 Visa?
• As long your spouse F1 visa is valid.
• F2 visa holder cannot fly to the USA before F1 visa holder.
