Today's topic "Voice"

Voice:
Voice হল verb-এর গঠন যার দ্বারা subject নিজে কিছু করে বা অন্যের কাজ তার উপর এসে পড়ে।
Voice দু প্রকার।
i) Active voice: যে sentence-এ subject নিজে সক্রিয় বা active হয়ে কাজ সম্পন্ন করে সে sentence-এ verb-এর active voice হয়।

Example: I do the work.

ii) Passive voice: যে sentence-এ subject নিজে কাজ সম্পন্ন করে না বরং object এর কাজটি তার ওপর এসে পড়ে তখন সে sentence-এ verb-এর passive voice হয়।
example: The work is done by me.

অনেক সময় একটি voice এ দুটি object থাকে সে ক্ষেত্রে উক্ত active voice কে passive voice এ রূপান্তর করার সময় প্রথম object টি অর্থাৎ ব্যক্তিবাচক object কে subject করাই শ্রেয়।
example:
Active:- The principal teaches us English.
Passive:- We are taught English by the principal.
Active voice কে passive voice এ রূপান্তরের নিয়ম:
Rule 1: a)active voice এর subject টি passive voice এর object হয়। এবং তার পূর্বে by বসে।
b) active voice এর object টি passive voice এর subject হয়।
c) মূল verb-এর past participle হয় এবং তার পূর্বে subject ও tense অনুযায়ী auxiliary verb বসে ।
Rule 2:Auxiliary verb ব্যবহারের নিয়ম:
A i) Present indefinite
am, is, are
ii) Past indefinite
was, were
iii) Future indefinite
shall be, will be
B i) Present continuous
am being,is being,are being
ii) Past continuous
was being, were being
iii) Future continuous:
shall be being, will be being
C i) Present perfect
has been, have been
ii) Past perfect
had been, have been
iii) Future perfect
shall have been, will have been.
