In a rapidly growing city like Dhaka, waste management is a major challenge. A significant portion of recyclable waste—especially plastic and paper—is not properly sorted, reducing recycling efficiency and increasing environmental impact.

In this capstone project, we present a Vision-Based Smart Waste Bin that uses computer vision and machine learning to automatically classify and segregate waste into two categories: plastic and paper.
