A voltage Tripler Increases AC Voltage to almost three times its original peak value using only diodes and capacitors.
Think of the capacitors like small rechargeable buckets that store electrical energy during different parts of the AC cycle. The diodes act like one-way gates that control where the charge can move.
During one half cycle, some capacitors charge to the input peak voltage. During the next half cycle, another capacitor charges using both the AC source and the already stored voltage from previous capacitors. This stacking effect adds the voltages together step by step.
At the output, the stored voltages combine to produce a much higher DC voltage, close to 3Vp. The waveform graph shows how the output gradually builds up over multiple AC cycles until it reaches a stable high voltage.
Voltage triplers are useful when high voltage is needed but high current is not required. They are commonly used in CRT displays, scientific equipment, voltage multipliers, and high-voltage power supplies.

These Balls on High-Voltage power lines are used to warn airplanes and helicopters, making the wires visible from the air—especially near airports, valleys, and open areas.
They are known as:
Aviation Marker Balls
