🔋⚡ How to Test Your Car Battery and Charging System! 🚗🔧

To ensure your battery and alternator are working properly, follow these two simple steps:

1️⃣ Check Battery at Rest (Engine Off)

Set your multimeter to DC voltage

Connect the probes to the battery terminals

Healthy battery: ~12.6 V

Below 12.4 V: Battery is discharged or aging

Below 12.0 V: Battery may fail to start reliably

2️⃣ Check Charging System (Engine Running)

Start the engine and let it idle

Measure voltage at the battery terminals again

Healthy alternator: 13.8 V – 14.4 V

Below 13.8 V: Alternator undercharging

Above 14.4 V: Alternator overcharging, which shortens battery life
