BANK’S MONEY SAVED:

(Written in connection with the murder of an ATM guard at Badda)

1. You can not imagine what is the salary of a guard in the Banking Sector of Bangladesh. In one very strong bank with astounding CSR & benevolent activities it’s less than Tk 6000/00 after the deductions of Advance Income Tax. This particular bank, where the incident had taken place were paying all inclusive Tk 8000/00 per guard monthly for the last 11 years.

2. On the Eve of Eid-Ul-Fitr minus the guard his family might be in possession of Taka 1/2000 maximum as Bonus. Govt. had fixed Tk. 15,200/- as the minimum salary of a Security Professional. 95% banks have declined to pay this amount. Sonalil Bank has declared openly in the media that they have made a profit of Tk 3000 crores last year. They pay a Service Charge of only tK 630 per guard. Where as a pair of shoes costs these days Tk 800-1200.

3. Security Guards are not considered as Human Being. Most of the “Well to Dos” think they do not need anything other than to go to the toilet just 1 time in a Day as they hardly eat anything to discharge anything worth. You will be totally disoriented if you are to imagine a security guard's meals in a Day. His living accommodations ; his family life ; his marriage; his children etc etc etc.

4. RAPID has lost many of it’s business being vocal and vociferous to Advocate the Minimum Wage for a Guard. One bank enlisted 22 Vendors to get the rates even lower & lower. We are also incidentally one of the BIG defaulters, waging war against 800 security companies in the country to lower our price under extreme trying conditions. Maintaining a Brand Value in the market at this era has became very difficult, and the survival battle is Un ending!!

👉Only our Honourable Prime Minister may be able to fix things in this country - No one else for sure.
