ANNOUNCEMENT: EXECUTIVE MEMBER RECRUITMENT BEGINS FOR THE 2026–27 SESSION

Applicable only for the students of ChE '22, '23, or '24

Every strong chapter is built by passionate students. This is your chance to become a part of the team that carries forward the legacy of BUET AIChE Student Chapter.

We are delighted to announce that the recruitment process for the Executive Student Committee of the 2026–27 session is now open. Under the guidance of our respected advisor, Professor Dr. Md. Iqbal Hossain Sir, the new committee will work through different divisions along with the General Executive Committee to organize events, strengthen industry connections, promote technical learning, and create opportunities for fellow students.

We are looking for enthusiastic, responsible, and motivated individuals who are ready to learn, contribute, and work as a team. If you are eager to develop your leadership, communication, and organizational skills while serving the Chemical Engineering community, this is the opportunity for you.

We are thrilled to announce our guest speaker for the upcoming live webinar "A Journey from Graduation to Higher Studies" - Swarit Ahmed Shadman, Doctoral Candidate at the Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science, University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.

Swarit Shadman is no stranger to excellence. He completed his BSc in Chemical Engineering from BUET in 2018, graduating with the highest CGPA in the Faculty of Engineering which got him the Prime Minister Gold Medal in recognition of his academic achievement. He subsequently served as a Lecturer in the Department of Chemical Engineering at BUET for three years before joining as a PhD researcher at one of the top engineering schools in the United States. At Minnesota, his doctoral research focuses on Ultrafast Electron Microscopy, Phonon Dynamics, and Ultrafast Laser systems, contributing to the frontier of 4D electron imaging technology. He has been recognized with the L.E. and D.H. Scriven Fellowship. He also serves as a board member of the Minnesota Microscopy Society.
