Electronic Arts (EA), maker of games like Madden NFL, Battlefield, and The Sims, is being acquired for $52.5 billion in what may be the largest private equity buyout ever. Silver Lake Partners, Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), and Jared Kushner’s Affinity Partners are leading the deal, paying $210 per share. Including debt, the deal is worth $55 billion, surpassing the previous record $32 billion TXU buyout in 2007.
