📌 The most important finding for buyers concerns product safety. In 2025, Greenpeace Germany bought 56 SHEIN garments across eight countries and had them tested at an independent laboratory. Around a third exceeded EU chemical safety limits, and several of those items were children's clothing. Laboratory testing in South Korea separately found very high levels of restricted chemicals in certain children's shoes and accessories sold on the platform. SHEIN denies these findings and says it conducts its own safety testing.

📌 Independent investigations have also documented excessive working hours and low wages in the factories that supply SHEIN. These concerns carry particular weight given the professional field involved.

No one is being asked to agree with this decision. The same information may reasonably lead others to a different conclusion, and that choice remains entirely yours. This page has always been run on an honest basis, and stepping away is preferred to staying silent on a matter of genuine concern.
