Climate Justice Assembly 2025: A Global Call for Action!

Over 2000 (1,946 registered) people met at Sher-E-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka, for the Climate Justice Assembly 2025. The morning kicked off with a lively rally through Agargaon, where streets filled with posters, placards, and festoons carrying messages of hope and resistance. Attendees came from 13 countries including Australia, Bangladesh, Germany, the U.S., the U.K., the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, China, Nepal, India, Pakistan and Singapore. The assembly brought together environmental groups, experts, and community members from Bangladesh and abroad. Sharmeen Murshid, the Advisor for the Ministry of Social Welfare and Women and Child Affairs, inaugurated the assembly while Farida Akter, the Advisor for the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock attended the opening session as the Chief Guest..
