Periods, hormones, big feelings, body confidence, and a lot of quiet questions they may not know how to ask. Bloom is a relaxed, nurse-led afternoon for mums and daughters to talk about it all — honestly, without the awkwardness, and with real answers. 💛
This isn't a lecture. It's a chance to connect, to normalise what's normal, and to give your daughter the confidence that comes from actually understanding her own body — with you right beside her.

By 13, the changes aren't "coming" — they're here. Periods, hormones, big feelings, body confidence, and a lot of quiet questions they may not know how to ask. Bloom (13+) is a relaxed, nurse-led afternoon for mums and teen daughters to talk about it all — honestly, without the awkwardness, and with real answers. 💛

THE GREAT PERIOD PANIC
Nothing builds character quite like the sudden realisation that your period might be arriving in the next 10 minutes 😅
Puberty really said:
✨ surprise
✨ poor timing
✨ emotional damage
The good news? Most “period emergencies” are far less dramatic than they feel in the moment — and almost everyone has a story.
Period education isn’t just about products and biology.
It’s about reducing panic, shame, and the feeling that you have to figure it all out alone

Puberty really has a way of turning a completely normal body function into a full psychological thriller 😅
The second you THINK your period might be coming:
suddenly you’re checking every bag pocket
calculating distances to bathrooms
and mentally preparing for survival
The good news?
Most “period emergencies” feel much bigger than they actually are.
A little preparation, a spare pad, and knowing who your safe people are can make all the difference.

“THE ‘DO I SAY SOMETHING?’ DILEMMA”
Knowing when to check in can feel like a balancing act — especially when you don’t want to embarrass them or push too hard.
A simple, low-pressure approach often works best.
Something like:
“I’ve noticed you seem a bit off lately — I’m here if you want to talk, or we can just hang out.”
Small moments of openness build long-term trust.

“THE ‘IS THIS NORMAL?’ PHASE”
Puberty has a way of turning everyday life into a constant round of “is this normal?” for both young people and their parents.
The short answer is: most of the time, yes.
The longer answer is: development isn’t linear, and there’s a very wide range of what’s considered typical.
If you’re ever unsure, you don’t need to guess — checking in with a health professional is always a valid option.

“THE PERIOD EMERGENCY YOU DIDN’T TRAIN FOR”
For many parents, this is a moment you don’t get a practice run for — a period starting at school.
It can feel like a big deal in the moment, but it’s a very normal part of growing up.
At an Elladee Period and Pubery session we teach you both how to put together a simple period kit for school, how to respond with a calm mind, and a bit of reassurance.
Most importantly — this is something most families navigate at some point. But it helps to have the right support
