Thoughts Held In Time

A little project I’ve been working on. I was talking with a friend about making some cards just to leave in a friends letterbox when we pop in and they are not home and she mentioned postcards. Let’s just say once the idea was planted I couldn’t stop at 1 or 2.

Just Bee-Cause Handmade Card
I love these adorable bees from Hero Arts, so I had to go with a hexagon theme for this card.
The background is stencilled and coloured with distress inks in honey yellow and coppery toned reds
The bees are coloured with copic markers and the sentiment is hand written, still working on my calligraphy but I didn’t want this too scripty.

You are Awesome Handmade Card

The background is a stencilled brick pattern coloured with distress inks for a tri tone colour effect.
The sentiment is cut from black and gold cardstock, layered and covered in Nuvo Shimmer with glossy accents for the 3d effect. A couple of copper toned sequins finish the card.

I had these watercoloured pieces left over from another cardmaking session and thought they came together nicely in this scene.
Background is a distress inks stencilled piece in blue green and yellow perfectly matching the tones of the watercolour elements.
A couple of sequins add a touch of bling
Sentiment is hand written, I’m working on perfecting my calligraphy skills.
