This April, Keito turned 18 years old, a big milestone for a small business.

It’s not often I stop and reflect (something I want to get better at), so this felt like the perfect opportunity to look back and share some highlights of the Keito journey so far.

Keito was founded by Kate Abraham in 2008. Kate has taught me so much, not just as a leader, but as a friend. Her passion for events and people was always so clear.

I began working at Keito in 2014 after completing my uni internship there. Working closely with Kate over this time, I was given the opportunity to own Keito, and I became the owner at the end of 2017. I was 23 and didn’t know much, but I was ready to take on the challenge. And a challenge it’s been, owning a business brings a lot of ups and downs, and personal growth.

Over the past 18 years, Keito has delivered more than 700 events. We’ve travelled to some incredible places, from Fiji to mine sites in the middle of Australia.

There have been so many incredible people who have been part of the Keito team. Events put you into all kinds of environments, long days, early mornings, late nights, and through that, your team often become your friends. To those I’ve worked closely with over the past 8 years, thank you for growing alongside me and Keito.

Keito is more than an event management company. It’s a brand that lives and breathes events, genuinely cares about our clients, and always strives to deliver the best.

To our clients, current and past, thank you for trusting us to bring your events to life over the past 18 years. To our suppliers, thank you for your collaboration, support, and commitment to making every event a success. To my friends and family, and those who have supported me along the way, I appreciate it. And to everyone who has been part of the Keito journey so far in any way, big or small, thank you.

AI isn’t replacing event managers. It’s making us better ones.

For the past year, I’ve spent time testing where AI actually adds value and where it doesn’t.

Here’s exactly how we’re using it day-to-day ↓

Would love to hear how others in the industry are approaching this and what’s working for you?

More than 1,000 community members gathered for the annual Walk of Awareness, marking the 18th anniversary of the National Apology to the Stolen Generations.

Participants walked across Birkenhead Bridge to Hart’s Mill for a Smoking Ceremony, Welcome to Country and community activities.

Keito was proud to support the City of Port Adelaide Enfield in delivering this important commemoration.

A week in the life at Keito ✨

First week back after a three-week break and we were straight into planning, site visits and mapping out events for the months ahead. No two days looked the same, and that’s exactly how we like it!

Here’s a little peek at what goes on behind the scenes at Keito 🧡
