EBS Restoration have been undertaking woody w**d control along a section of the Sturt River (Warri Parri) in the City of Onkaparinga area. Some w**ds, such as this Fraxinus angustifolia subs angustifolia (Desert Ash) have required EBS Restoration staff to employ the use of an elevated work platform, to allow the safe removal of woody w**ds in areas where access is restricted.

The Sturt River is considered a significant urban waterway and is one of the main tributaries of the Patawalonga River. It was used by the Indigenous Kaurna people as a link between the hills and the sea.

Since 2015 EBS Restoration has undertaken environmental restoration works within the Southport dunes system for the City of Onkaparinga. Coastal ecosystems are very susceptible to direct human activity such as foot-traffic and human-induced pressures such as grazing by feral pests. Coastcare involves activities aimed at managing those impacts and rehabilitating existing damage.

EBS Restoration provides coastcare services to anyone with responsibility for coastal dunes and associated ecosystems such as samphire. Clients include private landholders, local councils, government, natural resource management boards and coastal friends groups.

We love seeing the positive difference that coastcare work makes!
