We're currently monitoring the situation and working with key partners such as Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Here’s what you need to know:

- As with all non-citizens, people impacted by the situation in Iran can apply for an Australian visa that best suits their circumstances.
- Do not attend an Embassy or Department office in person to lodge an application.
- Internet outages in Iran may cause delays, but applications can still be lodged online when possible.
- We understand some clients may not be able to provide everything needed right now, and we will continue to work with applicants as circumstances allow.

Travelling to Australia? Make sure you apply for a visa that meets the true purpose of your visit.

New laws mean you can no longer apply for a Student visa or Student Guardian visa while in Australia if you’re on a Visitor, Temporary Graduate or Maritime Crew visa.

Frequent Traveller Stream (FTS) visa eligibility has expanded! 🙌

From today, eligible passport-holders from Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Member States and Timor-Leste can apply for a FTS visa.

The Frequent Traveller Stream of the Visitor (subclass 600) visa allows for stays up to three months over grant periods up to 10 years. All applicants will need to meet the relevant criteria and will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
