An Emergency Relief Centre (ERC) has been established at the McIntosh Centre, Shepparton Showgrounds, as of 6:30pm Friday 9 January 2026.

The ERC has been set up to assist residents of neighbouring councils. The ERC provides shelter, essential supplies, and support for those affected by extreme weather and bushfire conditions.

If someone you know from Moira, Strathbogie, Mitchell, or Murrindindi council areas is affected by surrounding fires and needs help, and it is safe to do so, please tell them to head to the centre for safety and support.

House of HOPE

HOPE is a community-based program supporting people in Shepparton and Seymour after a suicidal crisis.
It offers personalised, voluntary and confidential support from clinicians and peer workers with lived experience.
