Project Completed – Trinity College Melbourne, Project 100

M Squared Electrical is proud to reflect on the successful delivery of Project 100 at Trinity College () , completed in partnership with Harris HMC ().

Designed to complement the heritage-listed campus, the building integrates seamlessly with the surrounding 19th-century ivy-clad stone and brick architecture, enhancing the character of this iconic Melbourne institution.

M Squared Electrical delivered a comprehensive early works package, including a new 1.5MVA substation, 2000AMP main switchboard, distribution network, mains upgrades, and fibre reticulation — all executed within a live, fully operational heritage environment.

The main works comprised 104 student accommodation residences, alongside offices, learning spaces and a gym, supported by specialised lighting, AV systems, Panduit communications, Integriti security, Vingcard access control, and a 28kW solar PV system.

We are proud to have contributed to a project that continues to support student life while respecting the rich heritage of the Trinity College campus.

Project Completed – Viridi, 17–22 Grattan Street, Prahran

M Squared Electrical is proud to reflect on the successful delivery of Viridi at 17–22 Grattan Street, Prahran, completed in partnership with Cobild.

Developed by Little Projects and designed by Plus Architecture, Viridi has become a standout residential address within one of Melbourne’s most sought-after suburbs.

Comprising 44 owner-occupier residences, the development was carefully designed to maximise natural light while protecting the amenity of the neighbouring Grattan Gardens. The building’s distinctive sloping façade and innovative truss system ensure no overshadowing, while creating a striking architectural outcome that integrates seamlessly with its surroundings.

With passive sustainable features including double glazing and high-performance insulation, Viridi continues to demonstrate a strong commitment to energy efficiency and thoughtful design.

Project Completed – High Street BTR, 6–34 High Street, Preston

M Squared Electrical is pleased to announce the successful completion of the Build-to-Rent development at 6–34 High Street, Preston, delivered in partnership with Kapitol Group.

Designed by award-winning architects (Rothelowman), this project reflects their belief that good architecture is essential to the successful evolution of cities. The development represents a progressive approach to affordable housing, balancing high-quality design, functionality and aesthetic appeal while meeting the needs of a growing urban population.

Located within the Preston Junction Precinct, the project will become the tallest development in Preston, rising 18 storeys and delivering 292 studio, one and two-bedroom apartments, including seven duplex townhouses. The development will also incorporate six retail tenancies, a three-level basement car park, and premium resident amenities including a landscaped courtyard, residents’ lounge and rooftop terrace.

This project marks another milestone in supporting Melbourne’s growing demand for high-quality, purpose-built rental housing. We are proud to have delivered the full electrical scope for a development that will provide long-term, sustainable living solutions within the rapidly evolving Preston precinct.
