You’re not behind. You’re just being spoken to in the wrong language.

At some point, an invisible rulebook got written, so instead of sounding human, we started sounding like corporate robots with numbers for names.

KPI. ROI. CTR. Funnel optimisation. Useful in certain rooms... completely alienating in others.

If someone is new to a topic (especially marketing) why would we start with the jargon?
Clarity isn’t dumbing things down; it’s translating complexity so it can actually land.
I love accounts that call this stuff out (looking at you ) 😉

Marketing should feel understandable... not like you're trying to learn a new skill in a foreign language.

Dr Dinesh Palipana wears one watch. A black ceramic Hublot with a story only he could carry.

It marks the moment he rebuilt his life after a crash that left him paralysed from the chest down.
It marks the promise he made to himself in intensive care; I am the master of my fate.
It marks survival, resilience, gratitude, and the mother who never left his side.

Dinesh went on to become Queensland’s first quadriplegic medical intern, a researcher, lawyer, author and national advocate for people with disabilities. His watch isn’t about luxury. It is a reminder that he refused to quit.

On December 11, he joins Cars, Watches & Legacy, a night for people whose stories run deeper than the machines they admire.
