Perth will challenge its April record tomorrow, with a forecast maximum of 37 degrees (record is 37.6 degrees, back in 1910). Severe Fire Danger is also forecast for parts of the states southwest.

The city is on track to record six consecutive days above 30 degrees, with the rest of the state also tracking well above average so far this April.

A cooler change ahead from Sunday and an even stronger one from mid next week.
