This is Cake Lovers Club!!
Every month we come together in Inglewood to celebrate all things dessert! We bake something that fits the monthly theme, introduce our desserts and then devour them!
This club is without a doubt the tastiest club in Perth! Not convinced? Come along and try us out!
We meet the first Thursday night of the month 6-8pm

What would you bake with this random ingredient?
The August Cake Lovers Club meet is on Thursday 6 August in Inglewood 6-8pm
The theme this month is ‘random ingredient!’
On sign up you will be assigned a random basic baking ingredient to use in your baking. It doesn’t need to be the star but it does need to be there.
The concept for Cake club is simple. Bring any dessert that matches the theme. Eye off all the desserts and taste as many as you like! Make sure to bring a container for the leftovers 😉

Bree made Salada ‘crack’ (this definitely needs a new name haha)

Last night’s cake club was all about community and what we’ve grown 💖
With the help of several volunteers we put together a care pack for one of our members and got someone to deliver it to the northern suburbs, so the member didn’t miss out after serious illness.
The offers of help were plentiful.
It’s this willingness from people to build our community. It’s helping hands to tidy up the room. It’s welcoming new members and making sure they have someone to talk to. It’s overhearing the growing friendships between people to share cookbooks and travel tips.
So yes our club is about baking, but is also about community and connection. I’m so happy to be part of it!

Let me try and explain exactly why I love cake club 🍰
Every month we gather a group of food lovers in one spot and come together to share and eat cake.
We’re a mixed bunch of ages and from many corners of the globe. What unites us is that undeniable passion for food.
I frankly have no idea what half the people in the room do outside of baking gorgeous desserts! Don’t get me wrong, as host I LOVE chatting to everyone and finding out more about you, but I’m also here for the cake chat and learning new baking tid bits and techniques.
I enjoy seeing connections form and our fun little games getting people to interact a little (just a little, fellow introverts, just a little!)
So if you’ve been curious about the vibe at cake club, I hope that sums up a bit more about it. Come for the cake, stay for the casual chats, all in a low fuss environment

Is popcorn on your sleepover snack list?!
Maybe it could be a great base to create a dessert for our slumber party theme!
The July Cake Lovers Club meet is on Thursday 2 July in Inglewood 6-8pm
The theme this month is ‘slumber party!’
Now this one is slightly out of the box, but use anything that you would see at a slumber party to inspire your baking. Smores, popcorn cupcake, choc chip muffins, lolly slice. Get your thinking hats on! Also, feel free to wear your fave pjs, hoodie, oodie and uggs. We are bringing slumber party vibes!
