Guide Dogs WA

Today we welcomed Louis and his mum Daniela, who generously donated bags of ram horns collected from their family farm in Kulin for our puppies in training.
Not only did Louis bring a wonderful gift for our dogs, but he also arrived on a day when some of our six-week-old puppies were visiting. Needless to say, there were plenty of cuddles to go around!
We’re incredibly grateful for the support of thoughtful community members like Louis and Daniela. Thank you for helping enrich the lives of our future guide and assistance dogs—and for making our day a little brighter. 🐾✨

Creativity goes Beyond Vision. 🎨✨

What does creativity look like when you experience the world differently?

Beyond Vision is 's first public art exhibition, showcasing the remarkable work of artists living with low or no vision. Every piece tells a story of resilience, creativity and determination, inviting us to look beyond assumptions about disability.

Opening 18 July at the Kent Street Gallery in the Park Centre for the Arts, this landmark exhibition celebrates the talent of artists from VisAbility's Community Active Centre at Perron Place.

"Their artworks reflect unique life experiences, personal journeys and perspectives shaped by resilience, determination and creativity," says exhibition coordinator Marcelo Prates.

A day of learning, connection and giving back!

Lat week more than 60 of our amazing Dog Services volunteers came together for our Volunteer Upskill Day at Perron Place.

From learning about the Guide Dog journey and hearing from a client partnered with a working Guide Dog, to sharing ideas and connecting over lunch, the day was all about celebrating and supporting the volunteers who give so much to our dogs and community.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended - especially those who travelled from our South West program!
