📅 28 April 2026 – World Day for Safety & Health at Work ⚠️
This World Day, we’re highlighting the importance of keeping safety at the forefront of everything we do in the electrical industry — physically, mentally and culturally. It’s not just about avoiding injury; it’s about creating an environment where workers can thrive and return home safely each day.
Workplaces also have psychosocial hazards — like stress, poor support, unclear roles, or conflict — that can harm wellbeing if left unaddressed. Taking time to recognise and manage these risks helps build stronger, safer teams.
Let’s use this day to refresh our commitment to safety for every worker across WA.

ECA WA is proud to support a program that’s strengthening the future of the electrical industry in Western Australia.
The Big Sister Program is a practical step toward increasing participation of women in the trade, creating clearer pathways into the industry and supporting long-term career development through mentorship and structured support.
For our members, this goes beyond representation. It’s about building a broader, more sustainable workforce and ensuring businesses can continue to meet demand with skilled, capable professionals.
ECA WA is committed to equity and stands alongside our industry partners in supporting initiatives that deliver real outcomes for the sector.
Members can play a direct role in this progress by supporting apprentices, fostering inclusive workplaces, and engaging with programs that strengthen the industry pipeline.
