Tonight is gonna be something special.

20 years ago I was a 14 year old kid, ridding the bus to school bumping this album from start to finish almost every day.

My friends thought I was the weird kid who liked that “Australian rap stuff” when most of them where either into punk rock, metal or American hip hop.

This album made me believe it was possible for someone from little old Perth to make a name for themselves, through hip-hop music

20 years later and I get to do what I love on the decks, celebrating an album that helped shaped who I am (excuse the pun) at one of my favourite venues

Big shout outs to for the opportunity. It’s an honour to be involved in the 20th Anniversary of such an influential album.

I don’t know if the local hip hop scene would prosper the way it was without this record, and I’m keen as a bean to be reminded of that tonight!
