Tasmanian Skilled Migration Program Update 2025–26 🇦🇺
Exciting news for skilled professionals looking to make Tasmania their new home!
Migration Tasmania has officially opened the Application Gateway for new Registrations of Interest (ROI) under the 2025–26 Skilled Migration Program.
✅ Key Highlights:
🔸 The Application Gateway is now accepting new ROIs.
🔸 Updated program settings and processing arrangements are available on the Migration Tasmania website.
🔸 Nominations will be confirmed once the Australian Government finalises state and territory allocations.
Subclass 190 – Health and Allied Health Occupations Added
Eligible after six months of employment in Tasmania under the Skilled Employment Pathway:
👩⚕️ Clinical, Educational & Organisational Psychologists
🧑💼 Psychotherapists, Social Workers
🧪 Medical Laboratory, Pharmacy, and Operating Theatre Technicians
🚑 Ambulance Officers, Paramedics, Enrolled Nurses, Pathology Collectors
💻 Remote Work Now Recognized for the Tasmanian Established Resident Pathway!
Residents living in Tasmania can now qualify even if working remotely for companies located outside Tasmania or overseas, as long as the work is performed from within Tasmania.
Example:
A software engineer living in Hobart and providing backend development for Google in California is considered a remote worker under this pathway.
However, if you work for a company outside Tasmania but deliver services to Tasmanian clients, this won’t count as remote work — you’ll be considered an employee of a Tasmanian business.
Now’s the time to act!
If you’re a skilled professional looking to live and work in beautiful Tasmania, start your journey today.
