Last night we arrived in Broken Hill, we decided to have a quiet night.
So today we took a trip up to Silverton to where the set for Mad Max was filmed, unfortunately the actual Mad Max set was closed on a Monday so we enjoyed seeing the Art Gallery and hotel etc, from there we went to Pro Hart's Gallery, unfortunately I could only see the ground floor but it was well worth the visit. After the we did a quick driver through town which had some lovely old buildings. We then drove out to the desert to see these amazing Rock Sculptures.
Such a busy day and I exhausted, time to relax.
Tomorrow we head to Port Augusta.
Enjoy these pics folks.

I must be getting old! Can't keep up with time. So let me tell you what we have been up to of late.
We arrived in Cobar on the 19th of July. The Sunset photos were taken through the back door of my van.
The next morning we visited their mining pit, museum and then a quick walk through town, not a lot open, it's a little like a ghost town.
Enjoy the pics as we only stayed for 2 nights

A few more photos of the Gaol then we went for a stroll around town. There were some beautiful old buildings, most of the shops were accessible. As it was so cold I didn't get out of the motorhome to checkout the rest of the campsite.

Wednesday 17th we arrived in Dubbo. Through our back window I spotted this sign on a caravan which made me think of my friends in the UK.
Yesterday we visited the Old Gaol of Dubbo.
The past couple of days we have stayed at a caravan park in Dural, North West of Sydney, it's been so cold we have just been organising to get Jaco and the motorhome fixed, sorry no pics taken here. Today we leave for Dubbo for 2 nights.

On July we took a wonder around Nelson Bay and found Ned's Pie shop which have 50 varieties, don't worry I only had one. Cairn's eyes were popping out of his head wh/en we found the lolly shop.. I have to get all these for Iain he says. Sure Sure Cairn, they will be all gone before we get home. The shop was very tempting though. That little fish tank you see in the lollies shop has love fish in it. I thought is was a strange place to have one.
I think Nelson Bay is like our Peppermint Grove area, big fancy houses overlooking the ocean.
On the way back to the motorhome I saw a lady got her 2 children to climb on to her motorcycle and off they went, then saw young boy lying all rugged fast asleep near the playground.
I thought this tree in last photo needed spinal fusion.
Sunday we drove to Sydney staying at a caravan park in Dural. Not one of the best for accessing. I have not gone exploring to much as it is freezing and I have the flu 🤧.
Yesterday I said goodbye to Jaco as he makes his way back to Canada to see the professors to make him well again

After Port Macquarie we stayed in Anna Bay which is similar to our Rottnest Island as there were so many Bays around us, as we pulled into Nelson Bay we saw all these Pelicans hanging around these fishermen cleaning their catch and hoping for a feed. When we got back to camp I decided to take Milo for a walk and explore the campsite. As you can see in one of the pics, you can see I managed to get myself bogged. Luckily I had my phone and could call for help.

Sorry it's been a few days since my last post. The Museum in Port Macquarie was very interesting. Paula and I did a quick shop, in the centre was this old car which I believe is part of the museum then back to the motorhome. Enjoy the pics.

Today we arrived in Port Macquarie around 12pm. Whilst Paula and Cairn were setting up the motorhome and cleaning, I took Milo for a walk exploring the place. I found some accessible cabins. We are right on the estuary.
I was directed where to go so I could get up onto the walkway, along the waterfront. Milo and I walked past the hotel and ended up on the main road. We walked passed a few hotels, shops etc then back along the waterfront and found a skate park. Too scary for my liking so I didn't attempt any of them. Milo was exhausted by the time we got back. Tomorrow we are going to the museum and see what else is around.
Finally we have a beautiful sunny day.
