Offshore Staff Assist

𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬:

• Proven ability to perform servicing, repairs, rebuilds, and component change-outs on earthmoving and heavy equipment
• Extensive experience diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions, and braking systems
• Skilled in fault finding, breakdown response, and preventative maintenance to minimise equipment downtime
• Competent using diagnostic tools, service manuals, schematics, and OEM procedures
• Experience working on-site and in workshop environments, including field service and remote locations
• Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and accurate maintenance reporting
• Interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics to trace circuits, identify faults, and support accurate repairs
• Carry out precision measurements and component inspections to verify tolerances, wear, and serviceability

𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬:

• Hold a valid HR or HC licence with proven experience operating Hiab or crane-mounted trucks for transporting steel and construction materials
• Deliver, load, unload, and accurately position fabricated steel products at residential and commercial construction sites
• Apply strong knowledge of safe load restraint methods and ensure full compliance with road transport and site safety regulations
• Conduct daily pre-start inspections on vehicles and crane equipment, performing basic maintenance and reporting defects
• Interpret delivery instructions, site plans, and priority schedules to ensure accurate and timely deliveries
• Coordinate effectively with yard staff, fabrication teams, and site personnel to support smooth and efficient operations
• Maintain accurate delivery dockets, paperwork, and compliance records in line with company requirements
• Demonstrate good communication and teamwork skills when working with drivers, riggers, crane operators, and construction crews

• Trade qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic, Mobile Plant Mechanic, or equivalent with strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Proven experience working on truck-mounted cranes, lifting equipment, hydraulics, or heavy mobile machinery.
• Ability to perform fault finding, diagnostics, servicing, repairs, and major overhauls on mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Competent in reading and interpreting hydraulic and electrical schematics for troubleshooting and repairs.
• Experience with crane brands such as 𝑷𝒂𝒍𝒇𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒓, 𝑯𝒊𝒂𝒃, 𝑻𝒂𝒅𝒂𝒏𝒐, 𝑼𝑵𝑰𝑪, 𝑭𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒊, 𝑭𝒆𝒓𝒓𝒂𝒓𝒊, 𝑴𝒂𝒙𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒕, 𝑯𝑴𝑭, 𝑬𝒇𝒇𝒆𝒓, or 𝑪𝒐𝒓𝒎𝒂𝒄𝒉 is highly regarded.
