Meadows Hives

Volunteers wanted! Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine aims to educate students in public health and preventive medicine, while gaining insights through research.

This is a Custom 8 x Queen rearing Nuke hive with 8 separate hive entrances [ 5 Frames per section] in pine with insulated roof and drop down floor fitted with Varroa mite screen and inspection trays and individual Perspex crown boards. There is space above for winter feeders.

The long hive is ideal for this type of work , queen raising, but also from a safety point of view as you don't need to lift heavy supers.

We also believe that the long hives are the way to go and our next long hive will be built from ACCOYA , a form of accetylsied pine with 50 year above ground warranty and superior insulating properties and dimensionally stable.
