One-of-a-kind web series CRUISIN' FOR A BRUISIN' is making its debut as part of Open Season Brisbane 🔧

Preview the gloriously unhinged series first at the free screening on Tuesday 14 July followed by a panel discussion with our Online Program Manager Jesse McCart and the creatives behind the project. Blending contemporary dance, regional rivalry and Australian absurdity, the series from Kiosk Film is set in Killarney, and unfolds through panel-beating feuds, hotted-up cars and greyhounds.

As NAIDOC Week begins, applications have just opened for the all-new First Nations Screen Business Accelerator Lab!

From Indigenous Business Australia, Screen Australia, with support from Screen Queensland, the program provides industry-leading mentorship and targeted business development support to First Nations-owned screen businesses facilitated by Queensland's No Coincidence. The Accelerator Lab focuses on building capability in business strategy, slate development, financial planning and market readiness.

GEM HUNTERS DOWN UNDER is returning to the gemfields of Central Queensland for a fourth season 💎

Set in one of Queensland’s most unique regional landscapes, the hit observational documentary series from WildBear Entertainment, Warner Bros. Discovery and Viasat World follows teams of gem hunters as they take on the physical challenges, emotional highs and tough conditions of the hunt in pursuit of the big find. The new season releases on 7mate in 2027!

This week we celebrated the launch of Queensland-made MOMENTO, with the cozy room decorator game now out on XBOX, Nintendo Switch and PlayStation, as well as Steam!

The idea for MOMENTO was born when creators Jess Lyon and Julian Beiboer (Fat Alien Cat) met Jasmine Phillips (Nomo Studio) as part of our inaugural Games Residency cohort in 2023. Now, after almost three years of development and support from Screen Queensland, they've grown to a team of 18! We've proudly partnered with Fat Alien Cat X Nomo Studio through our Games Grants, Market and Travel Grants, plus co-working space and investment that means MOMENTO will continue to support local games developers in the years to come.
