A bit tribal… a bit witchy… which one resonates with you? ✨
I love creating platters that are more than just functional pieces. As I carve each design, I imagine friends gathered around a table, sharing food, stories, laughter, and moments that become memories.
These two platters carry very different energies one wild and untamed, the other mysterious and wise, but both are made to spark conversation and connection.

Handcrafted functional ceramic art, designed to be used, enjoyed, and talked about.

So tell me… are you drawn to the feathered wanderer or the forest mystic?

One to add to the collection ‘Where the birds keep secrets’.
These pieces are slow made.
From drawing the concept, wedging the clay, rolling the clay to just the right thickness, shaping it, visualising it’s final outcome, drawing onto the clay, layering 3 coats of underglaze, then carving the image into the clay at the right stage (called leather hard), then loading into the kiln for its first fire and pray to the kiln that it doesn’t warp or crack, then rinse and clean the piece before adding three coats of clear high gloss glaze and then to its final firing stage and open the kiln (after about 12 hours…if you’re patient) and then and only then will you you know after all that time if you’ve completed your project. So I’m currently half way there ☺️
