For context - some fun facts about lifesaving & Aussies from the 80's:

- The first women gained their bronze medallions in the 1980’s.
- Grant Kenny took home the double Ironman title, winning both the youth and open title in 1980 at the age of 16, a feat to be unmatched since.
- And our coach Bugsie celebrated his very first birthday!
