We are deeply saddened to share the passing of our colleague, Muna Yazdin.

Muna was a valued member of Hume City Council for over 20 years and a deeply respected part of our library and community services. Through her work, including many years facilitating Assyrian bilingual Storytime, she created meaningful opportunities for connection, inclusion and belonging.

Muna’s warmth, compassion and dedication touched many lives, and her impact will be felt across our community.

Our thoughts are with Muna’s family, friends and all those who knew her.

Arabic and Assyrian Storytimes will be paused at Broadmeadows and Craigieburn branches until further notice.

We will share further updates as they arise and appreciate your understanding.
