I purchased these in 2023, didn’t go with the outfit and so they sat in a box ever since. Brand new, unworn plus the size was one too big.

I thought it would be a fun creative project, and I do love how they look! I think I’ll make this a regular thing.😉

Embers of Country represents the quiet but enduring spirit of the land, where warmth, memory, and life continue to glow beneath the surface. The flowing lines of dots rise like heat from the earth, symbolising the energy of Country as it breathes, heals, and remembers.

Each dot carries a story. Of ancestors, of connection, of survival. The shifting tones of yellow, orange, and white reflect the changing intensity of those stories, from gentle warmth to powerful fire. Against the dark background, these embers stand strong, showing that even in stillness or hardship, the spirit of Country never fades.

This piece speaks to resilience, renewal, and the deep cultural connection that continues to rise, generation after generation.

This artwork reflects the stories held within Country, where every grain of sand carries memory, knowledge, and connection. The circular forms represent meeting places, spaces where people gather to share stories, pass down wisdom, and strengthen community ties.

The flowing lines moving across the canvas symbolise the journeys between these places, showing how stories travel through generations and across land. Each dot represents people, moments, and voices, layered together to create a living history.
