Pyrolitic ovens are excellent at keeping things clean, but did you know that most manufacturers recommend cleaning the inner glass pane before starting the pyrolitic function? You can do so with oven cleaning gel or spray. Failure to do so can cause the glass to shatter and the door seal to fill with grease and become hard from buildup. The glass panels are replaceable but often pricey. Keep it clean!

I love working on different machines from normal. This pottery wheel is over 20 years old and needed an electrical service. The old Brook Crompton Betts motor with conical gear speed control still works a treat. I could not help thinking of the movie ghost with Patrick Swayze while working on it.
