Had a rough few holes? It happens🏌🏻
What separates strong golfers from the rest isn’t perfection, it’s awareness. The ability to spot what’s off and adjust on the fly.
Here’s how to sharpen that skill:
✅ Notice when your swing starts to feel rushed or off-balance.
✅ Don’t fix everything at once. Choose one focus point per round.
✅ Build in mental resets between shots.
✅ Use your practice time to develop body awareness, not just repetition.

A question we get asked a lot: how can our classes suit all skill levels at once? 💭
Great question!
At BioGolf, we focus on the biomechanics of golf; the foundation of every good swing.
⛳For beginners, this builds proper skills and structure from the ground up.
⛳For intermediate players, it helps identify and correct bad habits.
⛳For pros, we refine the final details that limit their performance and consistency.
Everyone learns their body’s best way to swing.

Feeling absolutely flattened after a golf session? 😪🏌🏻
Some soreness is normal. It means your muscles worked hard.
But sharp or persistent pain is a red flag.
Acceptable discomfort usually includes mild muscle tightness or fatigue that eases within a day or two.
Pain in joints, sharp aches, or lingering stiffness should not be ignored, as they can cause problems down the track. Stop these pains from becoming normal by paying us a visit - https://biogolf.bookings.pracsuite.com/guest
What does a day in the life at BioGolf look like? 🤔🏌🏻
It starts with listening. We take time to understand your swing frustrations and goals.
Then we build a session around improving them, focusing on biomechanics, mobility, and technique tailored to your body.
From there, it’s off to the simulator, where you can put it into practice and see the real difference our targeted exercises make 💪🏻🙌🏻

There are key posture giveaways that can sacrifice your swing power, and chances are, you're doing at least one of them 🏌🏻
The most common? 🤔
Rounded shoulders, loss of spine angle, standing too upright, and an inactive core.
Each of these limits your rotation and weakens your ability to create torque. Want to improve? Strengthen your core, open up your chest with mobility drills, and check your setup in the mirror.
At BioGolf, we assess all of this and help you fix it 💪🏻

Your swing and putting stance should not look the same, and yet, many golfers treat them like they’re interchangeable 🏌🏻
The truth? Your full swing relies on rotation, power, and weight transfer.
Putting, on the other hand, is all about stillness, balance, and control.
Your stance should be narrower when putting, your weight more centred, and your eyes positioned over the ball. Trying to apply swing mechanics to your putt throws everything off ⛳

What’s Really Causing That Slice? 🤯
And spoiler alert; it’s probably not your club (even if that’s the easiest scapegoat).
Often, the real problem lies in how your body moves.
Here are four common causes:
🏌️ Early Shoulder Rotation: Shoulders opening too soon throws off your swing path.
🏌️ Weak Lower Body Control: Without a stable base, your swing falls apart.
🏌️ Lead Side Weakness: A collapsing front side can send your clubface wide open.
🏌️ Limited Mobility: Tight hips or spine restrict proper rotation, leading to an outside-to-in swing.
Fixing your slice means fixing your body, not just swapping clubs.

Your hips are the powerhouse of your swing 🏌🏻
But if they’re not moving properly, you’ll lose both distance and control (and possibly your cool).
Here are 4 ways to spot a hip movement fault:
✅Swaying Instead of Rotating: If your hips slide sideways during the backswing instead of rotating around your spine, you're losing power and stability.
✅ Early Extension: Are your hips thrusting toward the ball before impact? That’s early extension, a major swing killer caused by weak or tight hips.
✅ Lack of Hip Depth: At the top of your swing, your trail hip should move back and around. If it doesn’t, you’re crowding the ball and reducing coil.
✅ Stuck Finish: Check your finish position: if your hips haven’t fully cleared and your belt buckle isn’t facing the target, your rotation isn’t complete.

A common swing fault we see is “coming over the top,” where the club moves outside the ideal swing plane on the downswing. This causes slices, pulls, and inconsistent ball striking 🏌🏻♂️⛳
To fix it, focus on shallowing your swing by feeling like you’re dropping the club more inside on the downswing. Drills like the pump drill or practising with a headcover just outside the ball can help groove the correct path.
Building better mobility in the shoulders and thoracic spine also supports a smoother, more connected swing 👍🏻
