How do we get more people playing?

I am going to do a bit of an unusual promotion. If you post something positive about the app, and if you give the app 4 stars or better rating on the app store, I will give you 10k of virtual money to play with. This could push you into a higher table, or just help with your experience.

Getting a lot of scammers claiming copyright violations and that my page will be removed. I am reporting each of them to Facebook and blocking and removing the comments. It is sad that so many scammers are on Facebook.

Known Issues, the daily bonus does not work. Looking into it but it is proving difficult to fix.

After a lot of testing and based on feedback, the game is not much fun when you lose most of your first 10k, so it limits what you can play. In order to get around this, I have put a database trigger in there, so that if you find you are playing with less than 1,000 dollars at any time, you will find it increased automagically to 10,000.

The idea is that this allows players to have fun. It also allows advanced players to play in rooms that have a higher buy-in, so I think everyone will be happy.

At Showdown Poker, we aim to be a bit different. There is no way to purchase chips or lose any real money. We also promise to respect your privacy at all times. Within the app, there is a button to delete any data, and we will action that immediately for you. We don't really hold any data anyway, apart from your progress and contact details that you provide.

The app offers the ability to play Texas Poker online with your friends or on your own against other players. If there are no players available, then bots will be generated. The requirement for bots should fade over time, as more people play.

About me: I am an Indie Developer that enjoys playing simulated gambling days, but I don't like the predatory behaviour of some of our competitors. That is the reason we have built this app.
