Contract Mustering Crew require another ringer!! Start ASAP. Location north west Qld.
Must be able to ride a bike confidently, know what a cow is and be happy doing it a little rough while camping out. Great cook and great crew of young fullas. Extra points if you bring your own motorbike and/or horses.
Current job is not as dusty as picture below so don't need your bandanas or goggles!!

Weir Contract Mustering Is recruiting for the 2025 season.
The successful applicants will have great work ethic, minimum one year cattle experience, be a confident bike rider and ready to learn.
Your own horses and bike is advantageous and an ability to have a joke a bonus. We work hard, but play hard too!!!
Camping out all year, limited phone service and internet, no mums, ice cream or aircon unless you bring your own.
It’s a great experience with some great cattlemen.

If you're a little spring chicken that wants a start in a contract crew then we might just have what you're looking for!!
We have one position available for a young lady....yes a human of the female type starting late March or early April.
Bring your own horses if you have transport, ONE dog if you absolutely must, own saddle and a great attitude. Camping out will be involved.
On the plus side, you'll be working with a fantastic group of young people who work hard, play hard and enjoy life!! Meals and washing is done for you and campdrafts and rodeos will be your entertainment. Work is located in the Gulf of Qld at various locations.

***Our New Super Star Camp Cook is Needed******April Start*** Weather Dependent***
Weir Contract Mustering is a family run business that has been operating in the Gulf and surrounding areas since 2002. We pride ourselves on a well-run, cattle conscious team with a great reputation.
Technically we are a contract mustering camp, however in recent years the stations we work on have generously made kitchen facilities available for use............so no sweating it out, swatting flies and cooking in a camp oven.
Our youngens are a great group, happy and hard working. They cut a lunch each day and most eat an easy breakfast. Our cook would supply the goods needed for the tuckerbox such as smokos, tea and coffee and everything they need to make a tasty sanga for the day. A hot, home cooked and plentiful meal is needed to sustain their tired little bodies at night.
Cooks will need to anticipate and regulate the stores required as a town run for supplies is not a weekly luxury. Opportunities to go to campdrafts, rodeos and to genuinely experience the station and outback life is something we encourage our cooks and all of our employees to experience.
Our cook will either need their own vehicle and caravan/gooseneck/trailer set up or be willing to camp in one of the random rooms supplied by each station. If you’re chasing some adventure, the opportunity (IF desired) to join our ringers out for the day is available. Get on the tail in the Toyota, help in the yards, take some photos and enjoy the great outdoors. We also ask our cooks to do the washing for our ringers. It keeps the washing machine free, ringers clean and tidy and is usually 3 loads per morning.
