Apricity Supervision

Burnout and moral injury get mixed up a lot. They're not the same thing. And honestly, I think the term burnout is over-used to describe something far more impactful.
Burnout is exhaustion. Moral injury is what happens when you're required - repeatedly - to act against your own values. When the system asks of you to be the social worker you never expected. When you feel complicit in harm you didn't choose.
It hits differently. It needs different support. I write and teach about moral injury, and I work with it in supervision regularly. Far too regularly. And, I've been there too.
It's workable- but it needs to be named first.
If this is something you're sitting with, feel free to reach out.

A few things I get asked a lot:
"Is it confidential if my work pays for it?" — Yes. What you share stays with me. I would rather a contract end that break that confidence.
"I'm not in Canberra" - That's fine. Everything's online and Australia-wide.
"I'm just a student" - Students, and early career practitioners, are one of my favourite cohorts to work with!
"Is it only for social workers?" - Nope. Allied health too. I supervise psychologists, counsellors, allied health assistants, nurses and I have even supported a dietician. All welcome here.
"How much does it cost?" - There's a sliding scale. Let's have a chat to work out what's feasible for you.
Any other questions - drop them below or message me directly. Always happy to chat. I also have an extensive list of FAQ's on my website www.apricitysupervision.com.au
