Banton Australia

With fuel prices climbing, electric vehicles are becoming the smarter choice for many Australians. Lower running costs, less maintenance, and the convenience of charging at home make EVs a powerful step toward the future of driving.

If you’re thinking about making the switch, Banton Australia can help you get EV-ready with the right charging setup; commercial or residential.

At the heart of our business is leadership that understands every part of the journey 🔌

Director Matt Downie started his career on the tools as an electrician, learning the trade from the ground up. That hands-on experience has shaped the way he leads today; with a deep understanding of what it takes to support every role within the business.

From electricians in the field, to project managers, administration teams and our valued clients, Matt’s focus has always been on building strong relationships, mentoring the next generation of tradespeople and creating an environment where people can grow and succeed.

While the role has evolved from working on the tools to leading a growing group of businesses, one thing hasn’t changed; the mindset to stay practical, stay connected to the team and keep getting things done ✅

Leadership through action, mentorship and relationships continues to drive our business forward ⚡️

Big Sister, together with Gaza Sports and Community Club, iElectrical & Communications, V2Grid Australia and Banton Australia are proud to present a special Women in Sports community BBQ event celebrating opportunity, community, and career pathways.

Many male electricians begin their apprenticeship journey through connections made at their local sports club.

We’re excited to extend these same opportunities to women athletes in Adelaide — and we invite local employers to be part of the conversation.
Join us for an evening of insights and connection.
Hear from qualified electricians and elite athletes as they explore the shared strengths between sport and the trades.

Enjoy a free BBQ dinner, meet our Big Sister industry‑qualified mentors, and connect with employers who are championing women in the electrical industry.

Big Sister is a major initiative funded under the Building Women’s Careers (BWC) Program and BWC is funded by the Australian Government Department of Employment and Workplace Relations.
