🍀We are happy to share that Arsen Abrahamyan from Cultural & Social Narratives lab. is currently part of the Ecological Futures residency program in Berlin – a joint initiative by the Goethe-Institut and ARCH+.

The program brings together an international group of artists and researchers who are working at the intersection of art, ecology, and urban transformation. Through collaborative approaches and site-based research, Ecological Futures creates space to reflect on how we imagine and shape shared ecological and social futures.

As part of the residency, Arsen is engaging with Spreepark Art Space, a site in transition that opens up perspectives between past, present, and possible futures. His participation highlights the importance of artistic research from Armenia within global conversations on ecology and urban change.

Ուրախությամբ հայտնում ենք, որ CSN Lab-ի թիմի անդամ Արսեն Աբրահամյանն այս ամառ մասնակցելու է Ecological Futures (Էկոլոգիական ապագաներ) ռեզիդենտական ծրագրին Բեռլինում, որը համատեղ նախաձեռնություն է Goethe-Institut-ի և ARCH+-ի կողմից։

Ծրագիրը միավորում է ճարտարապետների, արվեստագետների և հետազոտողների տարբեր երկրներից, որոնք աշխատում են արվեստի, էկոլոգիայի և քաղաքային փոխակերպումների հատման կետում՝ ուսումնասիրելով, թե ինչպես կարելի է համագործակցային պրակտիկաների և տեղանքահեն հետազոտությունների միջոցով վերաիմաստավորել մեր ընդհանուր էկոլոգիական և սոցիալական ապագաները։

Ռեզիդենտության շրջանակում Արսենը կմիանա միջազգային մասնակիցների խմբին, որը հետազոտում է Spreepark-ը որպես անցումային կենդանի տարածք՝ անցյալի, ներկայի և հնարավոր ապագաների միջև։

✨ "Stellar Frequencies" will unfold through multiple cycles, across diverse locations and formats, throughout 2026 and 2027.

The program begins in June 2026 with a research residency, during which commissioned artists will spend time at the astrophysical centers of Byurakan and Orgov in Armenia.

It will culminate at the end of 2027 with a publication bringing together the artworks, research, reflections, and experiences generated along the way.

Between these two moments, Stellar Frequencies will take shape through exhibitions, residencies, expeditions, public programs, talks, and other events that explore our relationship with the cosmos through the lens of listening.

📡The program now kicks off with the week-long research residency, during which commissioned artists will stay at the Byurakan Astrophysical Observatory - Բյուրականի աստղադիտարան. They will also have access to the Aragats Space Center of Orgov, with its massive 54 meter-diameter telescope. Throughout the residency, they will engage with scientists, astrophysicists, archaeologists, and researchers working at the intersection of the natural sciences, the humanities, and spatial history.

This residency marks the first stage in the development of new artistic works that will be presented for the first time as part of the opening exhibition at NPAK ՆՓԱԿ in November 2026.

Nelly Ben-Hayoun Stepanian, Andrius Arutiunian, Vahan Soghomonian, Vardan Harutyunyan, Chto Delat International, Başak Günak, Sheree Domingo.

✨«Աստղային ձայներ» նախագիծը 2026 և 2027 թվականների ընթացքում կունենա մի քանի փուլ՝ տարբեր վայրերում և տարբեր ձևաչափերով։

Ծրագիրը կմեկնարկի 2026 թվականի հունիսին՝ հետազոտական ռեզիդենցիայով, որի ընթացքում հրավիրված արվեստագետները իրենց ուսումնասիրությունները կծավալեն Բյուրականի աստղադիտարանում և Օրգովի ռադիոօպտիկական աստղադիտակի կենտրոնում։ Ծրագիրը կավարտվի 2027 թվականի վերջում հատուկ հրատարակությամբ, որը կհամախմբի ծրագրի ընթացքում ստեղծված արվեստի գործերը, հետազոտությունները, անդրադարձներն ու փորձառությունները։

Այս փուլերի արանքում «Աստղային ձայները»-ը կհամալրվի ցուցահանդեսների, ռեզիդենցիաների, հանրային ծրագրերի, զրույցների և այլ միջոցառումների շարքերով, որոնք կուսումնասիրեն տիեզերքի հետ մեր հարաբերությունը՝ ձայնային տեսանկյունից։

📡 Ծրագիրն այժմ մեկնարկում է մեկշաբաթյա հետազոտական ռեզիդենցիայով, որի ընթացքում հրավիրված արվեստագետները կմնան Բյուրականի աստղադիտարանում, ինչպես նաև կկարողանան այցելել Օրգովի ռադիոօպտիկական աստղադիտակ։

Ռեզիդենցիայի ընթացքում մասնակիցները կհամագործակցեն գիտնականների, աստղաֆիզիկոսների, հնագետների և հետազոտողների հետ, որոնց աշխատանքը գտնվում է բնագիտական, հումանիտար գիտությունների և տարածական պատմության խաչմերուկում։

Այս ռեզիդենցիայի ընթացքում կյանքի կկոչվեն արվեստագետների նոր նախագծերը, որոնք 2026 թվականի նոյեմբերին առաջին անգամ կներկայացվեն ՆՓԱԿ-ում կայանալիք ցուցահանդեսի ժամանակ։

Նելլի Բեն-Հայուն Ստեփանյան, Անդրիուս Արությունյան, Բաշակ Գյունակ, Չտո Դելած Ինտերնացիոնալ, Վարդան Հարությունյան, Վահան Սողոմոնյան, Շերի Դոմինգո։

«Աստղային ձայներ»-ի համահամադրողներն են Յան-Թագե Քյուհլինգը (Գյոթե ինստիտուտ Հայաստան) և Վարուժան Չետիրյանը (ՆՈՊԱ ձայնային արվեստի փառատոն)։ Ձայնային արվեստի ցուցադրության գեղարվեստական ղեկավար՝ Վարուժան Չետիրյան։

-Eng below-Այս կիրակի Եվրոպական կինոփառատոն 2026-ի շրջանակում կինոգործիչներ, պրոդյուսերներ, մշակութային ոլորտի ներկայացուցիչներ և աշխատարանի մասնակիցներ հավաքվել էին «Վարպետ»-ում կայացած Industry Brunch-ի շրջանակում՝ ոչ ֆորմալ հանդիպման, որը միտված էր փոխանակման, երկխոսության և տարածաշրջանային կինոհամայնքում նոր կապերի ստեղծմանը։

Բրանչի ընթացքում տեղի ունեցավ քննարկում Վավերագրական ֆիլմի արտադրության աշխատարանի մասնակիցների հետ, որը վարում էր իսպանա-գերմանացի պրոդյուսեր Ստեֆանի ֆոն Լուկովիչը, իսկ քննարկումը մոդերացնում էր Հայաստանում ԵՄ պատվիրակության ներկայացուցիչ Անետ Կրախտը։ Զրույցը անդրադարձավ ժամանակակից վավերագրական կինոյի զարգացող պրակտիկաներին, տարածաշրջանային համագործակցության հնարավորություններին, ինչպես նաև երիտասարդ կինոգործիչների առջև ծառացած մարտահրավերներին և հեռանկարներին։

Նույն օրը ավելի ուշ «Վարպետ»-ում տեղի ունեցավ նաև Ստեֆանի ֆոն Լուկովիչի հետ հանդիպումը, որի ընթացքում նա կիսվեց իր մասնագիտական փորձով և գործնական խորհուրդներով, որոնք հատկապես օգտակար էին սկսնակ կինոգործիչների և երիտասարդ պրոդյուսերների համար։

Համախմբելով հյուրերի Հայաստանից, Վրաստանից, Իրանից և Եվրոպայից՝ միջոցառումը ստեղծեց բաց և ջերմ միջավայր՝ փորձի, գաղափարների և ապագա համագործակցությունների շուրջ շփումների համար։

This Sunday, within the framework of the European Film Festival 2026, filmmakers, producers, cultural professionals, and workshop participants gathered at Varpet for the Industry Brunch — an informal networking event dedicated to exchange, dialogue, and new connections within the regional film community.

The brunch featured a conversation with participants of the Documentary Producing Workshop led by Spanish-German producer Stephanie von Lukowicz, moderated by Annet Kragt from the EU Delegation to Armenia. The discussion touched upon emerging documentary practices, regional collaboration, and the challenges and possibilities facing young filmmakers today.

Later that day, Varpet also hosted Stephanie von Lukowicz’s public talk, during which she shared insights from her professional experience and offered practical advice especially valuable for emerging film professionals and young producers.

Bringing together guests from Armenia, Georgia, Iran, and Europe, the event created a welcoming space for sharing experiences, ideas, and future collaborations.
