Epiphany

Epiphany of the month - Life is happening right now.
We live our lives dependent on milestones, waiting for them. The next weekend, vacation, more money, true love, marriage, kids, new job, retirement, and so on. What are we doing while we wait? We are on auto pilot, just getting through the day, the week, the year, the boring date, the demanding job. All the time we spend waiting, we are not really fully living. we are waiting to live. And when the event we were waiting for comes, it flies by, and then we're back to auto pilot and waiting, and not living again, just existing.
We don't realize that our life is mostly made up of what we consider non-moments. the ones we waste, by not living them. There are 525949 minutes in a year. How many of these do we truly live in? Making the most of each moment, expressing the best that we can be in each moment, really living?
At the end of a long life, do we want to realize and regret that we squandered most of our life in denial of life? This is life, happening right now. Let's show up, accept it, look for goodness in it, be present, be grateful, be aware, be the best we can be, and be alive.

Epiphany of the Month - Satisfaction.
Many people believe that if we become satisfied with where we are, we become complacent and there is no room left for growth.
They use this feeling of never being satisfied to propel them to being better, doing more, achieving more.
That is one way of looking at it and it does work for many people.
However, I have noticed that this modus operandi leaves us in a constant and ongoing state of dissatisfaction
and unhappiness with ourselves and our lives. It creates alot of stress and anxiety about always having to do
more and get more. This way we are never really satisfied with anything at all.
I personally do not see satisfaction as a road block. I feel that when we are satisfied with something, we can fully enjoy and celebrate it, and feel proud about having achieved it. And then we can use these energies to move on and do more, with more confidence, peace and positivity.
It's a small shift in perspective, but can make us alot more successful and joyful if we adopt it.
Just for a change, let's try something different. Once we achieve something, let's be grateful for it, be proud of ourselves for making it so far, and use these positive feelings to motivate us to do more. Because intentions shape the outcomes: if you start something because you are dissatisfied with what currently is, then that is what will keep perpetrating in the future as well, you will never be satisfied with anything, no matter how much you do or get. If you start something feeling confident and satisfied with where you are currently, with the objective of being even better by exploring more of your potential, then you will experience more success and more rewards during the journey.

Epiphany of the Month - Challenges and Growth
We keep saying or hearing statements along the lines of:
- We don't grow when things are easy, we grow when we face challenges.
- When life puts you in difficult situations, don't say why me, say try me!
- Smooth seas don't make skillful sailors.
- My challenges made me stronger. They are the catalyst to my growth.
We attribute so much of our growth, learning and strength to the challenges that we have been through and have overcome; and we measure our success based on how hard it was to achieve something. This inevitably makes us attract more challenges and difficulties to overcome, over and over again, because what we believe is what we create in our lives.
This is an old paradigm and is not required anymore.
We need to realize that we can grow through ease, grace and joy.
That's how it was always intended. We just didn't listen to the gentle nudges of our intuition. We ignored what our higher wisdom was trying to make us aware of. We were too comfortable in our comfort zone to really pay attention to the messages. And so for us to grow, things had to get difficult enough for us to take heed and wake up and do something to change the situation or ourselves.
Once we realize this, we won't need to be pushed so harshly to grow. We can do it with awareness and joy and by being more in tune with our inner guidance.
If we allow ease, it will be available to us at every step, and we can actually start to enjoy the journey of growth and getting to know and enjoy who we truly are and what we are capable of. All we need is to believe that we are worthy of success and achievement through ease and joy.
