CUBE is the compact table top spectrometer tool based on Xray technology for measuring fast, non destructive yet accurately for precious metal and finished jewellery.

The instrument measure precisely and accurately element composition of jewellery alloy like gold alloy, Platinum alloy and silver alloy. Detection of fluorescence radiation by prop counter offers large sensitive area, which in turn capture large amount of fluorescence which is vital for accurate analysis of the metal.
Equipped with modern, user friendly software and exact evaluation algorithm made it’s operation very simple and user friendly which in turn reduce requirement of technically qualified person to operate it.

Ease
Cube is very user friendly & easy to operate. Doesn't require special person to operate. Simply position the piece of interest with the aid of a video microscope and start the measurement. The analysis is performed non-contact and non-destructive in less than 35 sec. to 3 minute.

Software
The Cube is equipped with modern, user friendly software and exact evaluation algorism, is the proper analyzer for precisely calculating the composition of solid pieces of jewellery, precious coins and other precious metals. It also includes data acquisition, management, Peak Identification, Spectrum
analysis, Quantitative composition analysis, report generator, statistical data control, storage & printing.

Principle –
High energy photons emitted by a X-ray tube interact with metal. The high energy photon is absorbed by an electron of the atom. This electron is accelerated and forced to leave the atom. This created hole in the structure of the electron shell is filled up by an electron of higher energy.
The difference in energy between the leaving electrons position and the filling up electron may leave the atom as a photon of defined energy or as an electron. In the case of a leaving photon this process is called X-ray fluorescence and the energy of the leaving photon is characteristic for this atom and therefore for the element. The electron shells of an atom are called K-, L-, M-shell. Filling up a hole in the K–shell creates K–radiation (Ká if the filling up electron has is origin in the L–shell, Ká if the filling up electron has is origin in the M–shell). Filling up a hole in the L–shell creates L–radiation and so on. Only K and L radiation is on interest because the energy of K and L radiation is in the region which can be detected with standard detectors.

Karat Tester :
Citizen's Karat Tester evaluates the purity of Precious Metal including gold and Platinum by measuring the specific gravity.
It distinguishes the real gold and platinum from the fake material efficiently. Also it is useful to measure actual purity than that of marked without harming samples i.e. there are no scratches or stains left behind on the sample.
Unlike expensive metal analyzer it does not evaluate the purity of GOLD and PLATINIUM just from outer surface, it is most useful when you want distinguish complete gold or platinum from gold or platinum plated material.
User friendly operation yet very fast measurement it will not take more than 15 second to finish one measurement.
Higher weighing resolution including 0.001g and 0.01g gives you flexibility of measuring high accuracy in specific gravity and also possibility of measuring purity with lower sample weight.
Unlike other low resolution load cell sensor our karat tester are equipped with Magnetic sensor gives you reliable, accurate and repeatable weighing result which intern gives you very accurate purity measurements of precious metal.
Result can also be documented if connected with citizen CPR 02 printer
You can also measure specific gravity (density) of any solid material other than precious metal.
Comparator function allows user to set the target result and compare the current evaluated result from target
Most economical in use since does not need any replacement of consumables like X ray etc.
FUNCTION :
GOLD :
it gives purity between 9 to 24 karat with increment of 1 Karat. It also gives you result in % at the same time
User can select either copper or silver individually as mix material in GOLD for purity measurement.
PLATINIUM :
it gives purity between 600 to 1000 pt with increment of 50pt. It also gives you result in % at the same time
User can select either palladium or Ruthenium or Cobalt individually as mix material in PLATINUM for purity measurement.
However the Karat tester cannot test the samples accurately which are

The weight value of your test weight should be more than 80% of the maximum capacity of your weighing instrument.
Use the following chart to determine whether you need an individual weight or a weight set
by comparing the nominal mass values

Example: Suppose your weighing instrument has a capacity of 2,200 g and a readability of 0.01 g. This
yields 220,000 Digi ts, which cor respond to a class E2 test weight . Since
80% of 2,200 g is 1,760 g, you need to round it to a weight value of 2,000 g.
