Control Tower

Control Tower believes that we have a responsibility to speak up if the community takes actions that do not represent the safest approach to the sport that we all love dearly.

With that in mind, we believe it is important to discuss whether the 2020 USPA Nationals should be held, in light of a global pandemic. The attached letter - which was presented to USPA and leadership at Skydive City (Z-Hills) earlier this week - expands on our concerns. It presents questions that need to be answered - by both the host dropzone as well as USPA - before Control Tower is willing to help facilitate this event.

We hope the community reads this letter and understands why, until these questions are answered to our satisfaction, we are unable to commit to participating in or providing scoring for the 2020 USPA Nationals.

After a long break due to COVID-19, Florida Canopy Piloting Association is back with meet #2 for the season. We are happy to see the judges and meet directors taking the current health situation seriously and wearing masks.
